The University of Puthisastra (UP) was fully recognized by the Royal Government of Cambodia under a sub-decree (174), signed by Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, on 15 November 2007. UP has also been awarded full accreditation, for its Foundation Year Course, by the Accreditation Committee of Cambodia (ACC). University of Puthisastra (UP) has been created, in 2007, with a strong commitment to help the education development in Cambodia through our vision and core values. We believe in helping the new generation of leaders through education and endless supports to help them realize their potential. We believe in a learning and sharing communities of teachers, students, and international communities, who are not afraid to push the boundary of knowledge for the benefit of human kind.
University of Puthisastra (UP) currently faces a lot of challenges and opportunities to become the leading university in Cambodia. In addition to being passionately committed to our core values, this young institution is working hard to build its reputation through quality and strong commitment to helping lecturers and students come together to exchange and share knowledge. UP is pushing the frontier by capitalizing on the current technology to help support the school to provide an environment that is conducive to learning and sharing for students and lecturers, in both areas of hard-skills and soft-skills. For UP to realize its vision, we are laying out strong foundations to help create a path for UP to realize its vision. On top of providing the right and good facilities on campus, we are also focusing on strong and transparent management structure and network to build a solid foundation for the school. More importantly, we hope to establish a culture that upheld the standard, in a sustainability way, for the school; and that everyone can enjoy for generations to come.
Education is at the forefront of the development of any country; and the ability for a country to connect to other countries is even more vital to a country’s development, as well the world’s development. We believe that International involvement through exchange programs, scholarship programs, and other programs will further help UP to realize its vision and mission, on top of expanding the people’s capacity to develop their community. Furthermore, UP will put more emphasis on developing entrepreneurial and innovative mind set that will help us to establish an incubation center, which will help the economic development by identifying opportunities, locally and internationally. UP will put together an achievable guideline that will identify goals and targets for the school in a reasonable timeframe. We hope that UP will provide us with an initiative to create a more detail plan and also act as a measurement to the school performance in the future.
